Turkey's industrial output rose 2.4 percent in March, 2008 compared to March, 2007.

Turkish Board of Statistics said on Thursday that rise in industrial production in March, 2007 had been 3.7 percent.

In the sub sectors level of industry; mining sector index rose 12.4 percent, manufacturing industry sector index climbed 1.9 percent,and electricity, gas & water index increased 3.8 percent in March, 2008 compared with same month of the previous year.

In March, 2007, mining sector index had increased 4.1 percent, manufacturing industry sector index had climbed 3.2 percent, and electricity, gas & water index had increased 8 percent.
