Four security officers were killed in a clash with the terrorist organization PKK in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Saturday.

Turkey's General Staff said that four security officers died in an ongoing clash with terrorists in Hakkari.

"Two security officers were wounded," the General Staff said in its web-page.

In its statement, the General Staff said Turkish security forces continued their operations, backed by air forces, in the region.

The terrorist organization PKK staged an armed attack on an outpost in Hakkari on Friday night, and then a clash erupted between the security forces and terrorists.

Earlier on Saturday, two security forces lost their lives, whereas Turkish security forces killed 19 terrorists.
