The queen Elizabeth is coming to visit Turkey today. The queen will be welcomed by a country very different from the way it was in the year 1971: Bosporus bridge and highway did not exist then. The country had just overcome the coup on March 12th.

The population doubled as of the year 2007 and reached 70 million.

The economy of Turkey is now $650 billion.
