Justice & Development (AK) Party deputy chairman Egemen Bagis hosted lunch in honor of former U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright in Istanbul, on Monday.

Speaking at the lunch, Albright said the world was going through a complicated period, and noted that new developments occurred for the societies and democracies.

Prior to the lunch, Bagis and Albright visited "Modern and Beyond" exhibition which displays 450 works of art from Turkish contemporary art.
