'Carthage 2008' due on May 21 The international professional construction and building fair is due on May 21-25, 2008, at the Kram Exhibition Centre, with the participation of 350 exhibitors from the sector's different activities.- 20 / 05 / 2008 10:46 ![]() The international professional construction and building fair is due on May 21-25, 2008, at the Kram Exhibition Centre, with the participation of 350 exhibitors from the sector's different activities: a total of 75 foreign exhibitors from European, Mediterranean, Arab and African countries, including Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Libya and other countries. The agenda of the 2008 edition were presented, on Monday, by the organisers of the fair (the ministries of equipment and industry, UTICA's National Federation of Building, the Technical Building Materials, Ceramics and Glass centre), during a meeting with the press, held in Tunis. Some 20,000 professional visitors are expected in this edition, according to the information provided on the occasion. This gathering of builders, project managers and building industrialists is aimed at highlighting the diversity of the products of the building sector and favouring contacts between Tunisian exporters and foreign partners. Conferences on themes pertaining to the construction and building sector are included on the agenda of "Carthage 2008." In Tunisia, the construction materials, ceramics and glass industries (IMCCV) sector numbers 428 enterprises, including 19 which are totally exporting ones. Building and civil engineering total 400 enterprises. The IMCCV production has been recording an important growth, with an average annual rate of more than 7 pc registered during the 10th Development Plan (2002-2006) and the first year of the 11th Plan (2007-2011). |
