Austrian President Heinz Fischer received Deniz Baykal, chairman of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), in Ankara on Wednesday.

After the meeting at Sheraton Hotel, Baykal told reporters that Fischer and he discussed the case at the Constitutional Court and Turkey's EU accession process.

Later Austrian President Fischer proceeded to central province of Kayseri. He and Turkish President Abdullah Gul will co-chair a meeting of Turkish-Austrian Business Council.
