The report on Turkey was fair and well-balanced, parliamentarians from the Socialist Group in the European Parliament said on Wednesday.

Jan Marinus Wiersma and Hannes Swoboda told Turkish reporters in Strasbourg that the report on Turkey, prepared by Christian Democrat parliamentarian Ria Oomen-Ruijten, would include favorable steps and shortcomings in Turkey's reform process. 

Swoboda said voters should make decisions on political parties in regard to the dissolution case filed against the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party.
